If the LED is ON solid, that means the driver loaded correctly and is working.  It should show up in Audio/MIDI Setup.  I have never seen an instance that they device doesn't show up in Audio/MIDI Setup when the driver loaded properly.
Thank you,

I have checked the LED. When I turn on the computer the LED begins flashing. Then, when the computer finishes the initialization, the LED stays solid.

OK, there may be something wrong with the card or a hardware level problem with the Mac.
Can you see the card when the Mac Boots up, like with the side open? If so, what is the LED on the AES16e doing? Is it OFF, Solid, flashing, or ??
Do you, by any chance, have a different computer you can test the card in?

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I have the same message: "Cannot find any Lynx Audio cards."

You might try running the Uninstaloler that came with build 57a, rebooting, then downloading and installing driver build 55. Any difference?

Did you reboot after the driver install?

Mike,

I have already tried a different slot without success.

So, now I've just run the unistaller, moved the jumper from PROM2 to PROM1 and then installed the 57A. As result, I have the lynx mixer icon. But it is without access. When I click on the icon, I see the following message: "Unable to find any Lynx Audio Cards"

You might also try changing the PROM jumper from the PROM2 position to the PROM1 position to see if that solves the problem.  It might be that you previously tried to update the firmware on the card and that failed - leaving the card in an unusable state.  Changing the jumper to PROM1 will have the card startup on the protected firmware.
Thank you,

Sorry....You would need the Mixer open.

Have you tried:

1. Cleaning the contact pins on the card
2. A different slot in the computer
3. Installing the card in a different computer?

Thank you.

Hi Ruy,

I just verified here with our 32 bit Mac Pro, OS-X 10.6.8, Driver 57A and AES16e Firmware 13.2 and everything works perfectly.

Did you restart after the Uninstall and Install?

What Firmware is on the AES16e?

Dear David,

I have run the uninstaller, then I installed the Build 57A. As a result it doesn't show the "Lynx Mixer Icon", neither the AES16e icon in "audio devices".

Have you tested in your lab?

Regards,
Ruy W

Since that MacPro is so old, it will only support a 32-bit kernel.  Build 57A should work OK with a 32-bit kernel, but I must be honest we haven't tested with a 32-bit kernel is several years.  I'll have our testing lab run some tests and let you know what we find out.  It could be that you just need to run the uninstaller and try the installation of Build 57A again.
Thank you,

That is a VERY old version of the driver (from April 2008!).  The current version is Build 57A, and we will be coming out with another new version in the next week or so.  You should at least upgrade to Build 57A, then again when we come out with the new driver.
Thank you,
