Linking two aurora 8 using ltadat

Hi and thanks for the add to this forum.
I have been using a aurora 8 (A8A) with rme ufx on adat lt.
I recently got another aurora8 (A8B)and have been trying to add it to the system by routing the aes via an aes crossover cable to the A8A and send aes to adt9-16.
A8B has a fw card but the firewire is causing havoc with macpro 10.8.5 and I would prefer to use rme for routing and extra io.
I have a black lion microclock 2 that keeps the clock solid. I am able to get 16 discreet analogue outputs using the remote to route ls9-16 to digital outs. But I can't seem to get input to rme on adat 9-16 and the analog ins of A8A mirror onto A8B.

Is it possible to a. Route aes in to adat 9-16 and keep analog on 1-8. B. Control both cards from the remote simultaneously, not that's it's critical but may help with work around?

Currently both cards are connected via seperate midi ports.

Also the remote shows 16 or 32 channel modes not 8/16 as mentioned in other posts and manual. I tried both modes but 16 seems to have more lot options than 32.

Hi Paul, Thanks. Would it be possible to send 16 with the fw or USB lt card and aggregate the drivers?
