I recently updated the firmware and drivers for my e44. The first time I updated the firmware I closed all background programs  and initiated the update. It told me the update was successful but for some reason my pc got locked and I couldn't use my mouse nor keyboard. I panicked for a bit thinking the update had messed up so I hit the power button, but with hitting the power button my pc shut down like it would if you were to manually shut down a Windows. It shut  down closing all programs and then I turned my PC on like normal. Everything loaded up like  normal and the card was recognized by windows. I checked and found that the card did update and I was able to use my e44 like normal.

Now the only thing that happens is whenever I try to use it with asio4all, it shows the two channels (01+02) as having two OUTs and one IN (for Lynx E44 01+02)

All of the other channels show only one IN and one OUT (for 03+04 / 05+06 / 07+08)
For 01+02 it shows as follows.

Out: 16x 8-215khz, 32 bits
Out: 2x 48khz, 16 bits
In: 16x 8-215khz, 32 bits

By default Asio4all chooses  the first OUT and the only IN but everything sounds messed up and it plays everything extremely slow as if the firmware or drivers were corrupted. It stutters and is pretty much unplayable. Now, whenever I only turn on the second out and turn off the IN and first OUT from Asio4all it plays and works like normal. The only thing  is I can't use the IN if I wanted to record. When I use the Lynx ASIO everything works fine I don't have to play with any configurations or anything like that.

Is this just an issue with Asio4all or is my card corrupt from the firmware update? If it is corrupt, should I reset the card? or is there something I am missing here?

This is what I  have tried to do to fix the issue.

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled E44 drivers and asio4all.
2. Reinstall firmware (from 2.0 to 2.0)

Any help would be amazing. <3

Why are you using ASIO4ALL?  Why not just use the ASIO driver for the E44 directly since that is working properly.  What software are you using for record/playback?

The main reason is because the asio4all driver was working better than the lynx asio. I could go down to 64 in buffer size and would not get any underruns, cracks and pops or issues at 44.1 up to 96khz. With the Lynx Asio, I would start getting underruns and noise around 128 when my projects start to get more extensive.

Ultimately I'm just really worried that my card got messed up because asio4all is picking up stuff that should not be there. I installed an older version of asio4all (from 2.13 to 2.10)  and the driver still picks up the extra OUT. Not sure if this an issues with the Asio4all driver reading the sound card with the updated firmware incorrectly or if something else is going on.

Using FL studio 12.2 btw and Sonar X3. With sonar however, it doesn't even let me use the asio4all driver because its greyed out. Also, with the offline asio4all driver, it doesn't show that extra OUT but when i try to change the configuration for asio in FL Studio, it shows  that extra out.

Hope this helps get  a  better picture and thank you for your time and help! <3

Here is an image so you can see -  they are marked as offline and  FL Studio Asio4all.

Those seem like they are all problems with ASIO4ALL.  It is selecting the WaveRT driver instead of our ASIO driver, which will lead to all sorts of strange things happening.

I'm betting (just a guess since we have never used ASIO4ALL) that your actual latency is MUCH higher when you select smaller buffer sizes with ASIO4ALL.  You can select a smaller buffer size, but it really isn't giving you lower latency.  That would be a false sense of performance... "I can run at 32 buffer size with X", when in fact 32 buffer size gives the latency of 256 on Y.

By the way, there is no way to 'mess up' the firmware on the E44.  It either works or it doesn't.

Hey there Chief. Just an update.

I reverted the firmware back to 1.6 for the E44 and went back to build 23. Everything seems to be working like it should now. I guess asio was just having some issues working with 2.0 and build 23a. The only thing is that is still shows the extra OUT. Not exactly sure if that can be removed or what it is but just letting you know.

The reason I did this was because with the Lynx Asio I could open up a project but when it came to closing that project or opening another one, the program would just freeze and I would have to close it down from the task manager. It got annoying fast. I found that your guys archive the old drivers and firmware so I went back to the past. Not sure if this information means anything but though I would share it.

Have a great weekend Chief.
