I installed the lt Dante card. I am using firmware 8. I installed the Dante controller and sound card from audinate. I set clock to Dante in Hilo. I restored Hilo to factory default. I can see Dante play and Dante record on the all I/o screen. I got Hilo remote to connect.
I cannot get any sound to play over Dante asio. I’ve tried a few apps like REW and Jriver. I can’t get any sound. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong. Thanks, Michael. |

Did you route from the DVS Transmitter to the Hilo Receiver in Dante Controller?

I’m doing that now. For some reason the Hilo plays 48khz. But won’t play other sample rates. I can get sound at 48khz tho. I can’t manually change sample rate in Hilo remote.

I can’t find the window to the left of the Dante controller you posted in your screenshot.
I installed the Dante sound card. Edited by DallasJustice - December/22/2017 at 10:09am |

That is Lynx Demo. Not needed, but just shows the device name that you would use for playback in Windows. You must change the sample rate from Dante Controller, since that is the 'master of all clocking' on the Dante network.

I checked all the sample rate boxes in the controller. I linked the dvs to the Lynx as you showed. The Hilo will only play 44.1khz. I tried 192khz and no sound. All the link boxes in controller have a red mark in them.

Paul said he could do a team Viewer. I sent him my credentials earlier this morning. Can he look at my setup?
I can’t see how to change the sample rate in the controller. All I can find is “sample rate” on the left. I can check all the boxes. But I don’t think that changes the sample rate. Does the Hilo not auto sample rate switch over Dante? ![]() Edited by DallasJustice - December/22/2017 at 10:54am |

Okay. I found this audinate video.
https://www.audinate.com/resources/videos/adjusting-sample-rates-dante-controller Now I know how to sample rate switch using controller. Does the Hilo not auto sample rate switch to input sample rate over Dante? I have to manually switch sample rate every time? |

If you set the Hilo to clock to Dante (Settings > Audio >Sync source: Dante) then Hilo will follow the Dante sample rate. That is the recommended setup.

Yes. I did that. It is working.
My question now is whether dante is capable of auto sample rate switching to following the input sample rate? I’ve done a little reading and I can’t find anything that says it can. I don’t think this is inherent to AES67. Ive got a merging product which uses Ravenna. It can auto sample rate switch. |

Dante simply doesn't work like that. It is really designed around large venues that stay at one sample rate. If you are changing sample rates all the time, that would have to be done in Dante Controller and your application, so that probably isn't the best choice.
