As I am presently considering replacing my L22 with an E22, this is a major issue for me and comes as a big surprise. Is it possible that this feature can be reinstated with an FPGA and/or firmware modification?

That's right. Digital Out will be Play 3+4, and Digital In will be Record 3+4
You need to connect Out hot to in hot, Out cold to In cold, and also connect the grounds. The Pin out is on page 49 of the E22 manual.

Hi Paul,
thanks for the idea, i am not using the digital I/O at all. If i understand well, i can choose the WASAPI digital output 1 in my audio application, physically loop it with digital input 2 and use that one as an ASIO input in my DAW, am i right ? One last question, which pins shoud i wire together ? Just Digital Out 1 Hot and Cold to Digital In 2 Hot and Cold, or do i also need to link Clock In and Out ? Thanks for your support, Marc.

I'm afraid the E22 and E44 do not have the loopback function.
You could do a physical loop with the digital I/O if you are not using the digital I/O for some other purpose.

Hi,
i have seen on the product site that a loopback feature used to exist on LynxTWO-A but i can't find it on the E44 card which is said to be the substitute for it. Is there anything special i need to do to activate it, like setting a jumper, or is it a card limitation ? Thanks, Marc.
