How can I do custom routing and input monitoring schemes?

In addition to the global routing available with the Aurora front panel controls, per channel routing is available with the Aurora Remote Control software. Here you can assign up to two sources per output. For instance, Digital In 5 and Analog In 1 can both be monitored through Digital Out 5 at the same time.

In the Aurora Remote Control Software, monitor sources can be assigned independently for the Analog Outputs and Digital Outputs. From the Digital I/O and Settings page, set TO ANALOG OUT and/or TO DIGITAL OUT to "Remote" in order for any custom routing to be active. When the Analog I/O page is selected, in the lower right quadrant there are tabs for Analog Output Monitor Source A and Analog Output Monitor Source B.

These sections allow monitor sources to be assigned, attenuated and muted. The default configuration for the Source A tab, is Digital In 1-16 (1-8 on Aurora 8) routed to Analog Out 1-16 (1-8). The default configuration for Source B, is Analog In 1-16 (1-8) routed to Analog Out 1-16 (1-8). The Source B selections are muted as a default, and can be un-muted by clicking the M button at the bottom of the applicable channel strip. Clicking the Monitor Source Selection button at the top of each channel strip allows selection of any Analog, Digital or LSLOT input source to be routed to the corresponding output.

Remember to insure that new sources are unmuted - mute is active when the M at the bottom of a channel strip has a light-colored background. The Source A and Source B selections can be used simultaneously for 2 monitor sources per output.

This same process can be used to assign sources to the Digital Outputs as well, which is done from the Digital I/O and Settings page.
